FMMBA is hosting a free all girls baseball camp April 6th. With Guest Coach Chris James, Ashley James and Carrie Jespersen. All Girls are encouraged to attend.
Chris James - Baseball Alberta Girls/Women's Technical Coordinator responsible for the development and execution of strategies that increase the level of female participation in baseball at the grassroots level. Chris has been to National championships and Western Championships as a coach 17 times. Most recently, Chris was the head coach of the 2019 14U Girls’ Provincial team that won silver medal at the Peewee National Invitational.
Ashley James - Played for Team Alberta 13U Girls, Team Alberta 15U Girls and Team Alberta Women, plays Outfield and Right-handed pitcher. Ashley won bronze medal with 15U girls Team Alberta in Saguenay, Quebec. Baseball Ambition - To continue being a leader off the field and continue helping where I can with girls' baseball.
Carrie Jespersen - Playing baseball since she was 6 years old, has been a member of the Team Alberta since she was 12 and a member of Team Canada Baseball Team since 2017. Carrie was names Team's Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year in 2017. She plays outfield. One of her best baseball memory highlights was being able to play on Team Canada in 2019 with her sister Ellie.
